Our final lesson for this season of the podcast is to always be learning.
When you start a business you suddenly need to know everything about everything.
The problem is that you don’t.
There is so much to know, just to get your business started, and the secret no one tells you, is that once you get the basics in place and you think you will know everything you need to know, it turns out that there is even more to learn, to move to the next level.
It's hard to keep up. That's why it's critical to never stop learning.
The good news is that there are countless ways to pick up new knowledge that will help you in your business.
No matter what stage of business you are in, one of the great keys to growth is to always be learning. There is such a vast world of knowledge out there to help you, and so many ways to access it. There is truly something for everyone.
· Online courses and memberships have exploded in the last few years, and offer easy to access training and information, delivered right to you, when you need it.
· If you have no time to read, and no budget for courses, try podcasts while you drive. There are incredible podcasts on marketing, sales, e-commerce and even success mindset.
· If you are a visual learner, just search YouTube for the skills you want to learn. YouTube is particularly useful for all things digital marketing. You could keep yourself busy for years, just implementing the tips you learn there on that one topic alone.
· If you want to really elevate your skills, pick up a book by a master in your field, and read a chapter of a book each night, targeted to that skill set.
· But don't forget resources like mentors, newspapers, magazines and market research. These are all ways of expanding your knowledge and growing your company (and your mind).
The key is to make sure you keep filling your mind with new information. Set aside just 20 minutes before bed each night to read one chapter, or watch one video, and you will be astounded at how quickly that compounds.

What comes next?
I started out my business just like you. I had a big idea, and a desire to create a life where my time was my own, my earning potential was unlimited, and I could provide security for my family. I had to learn how to do it all from scratch, googling my way from one step to the next, and hoping I wasn’t missing anything important.
It took hours and hours, of time I couldn't spare, to sift through the information, to separate the good advice from the bad. I had to find all the parts of the puzzle that applied to my business, and then figure out how to put it all together.
After doing that for my first few businesses, I figured there really should be a better way. Why do we reinvent the wheel every time someone starts a business?
